Chakkamparambu Sri Bhagavathi Temple (Chakkamparambu Temple) is one of the most celebrated Hindu shrine of Thrissur, Kerala and coming under the administration of Vinjanadayini Sabha. The Chkkamparambu Sri Bhagavathi (Chkkamparambu Devi) known as Bhadrakali (Adiparasakthi) is worshipped here in three forms Mahakali, Mahalakshmi and Maha saraswathy. There is an Idol of Mahavishnu on the same pedestal and so the Deity is called Ammenarayana, Devinarayana, Lakshminarayana and Bhadrenarayana also. Along with Lakshmi & Narayana there are idols of Brahma, Siva, Ganapathi (Ganesh), Subramanya and Sastha on the same pedestal.
Apart from the main deity, the temple complex consists of Nana Gurgga temple, temples for Upa-Devas, Ganapathi and Nagas. The pleasant atmosphere in the temple give mental peace and harmony to devotees. Many of pilgrims and devotees of the Goddess visit here and make their reverential offerings to redeem them of their afflictions. A visit to the temple brings relief to them from the overburdening anguish and agonies of material life.
Pongala Dedication is one of the most important offerings to the Goddess. When Pongala is offered in the presence of the Goddess, it brings good fortune to the virgins, good fortune to the bridesmaids and the benefits of a good son, and removes all evils and all the auspicious deeds of the mind.
Legend has it that the centuries-old Chakamparamba Bhagwati Temple was built by the devotee Muthappan. However, the Nanadurga Temple, located in the Chakkamparamba temple complex, is believed to have existed since prehistoric times. As part of the renovation, the Nanadurga temple was rebuilt on the Krishna rock and the Kumbha Bharani was completed. The people of Karumalur regularly visit Pantheerazhi as the main offering. From time immemorial, only men have attended the temple ceremonies of the fierce Nandadurga. Our Nanadurga temple is also a testament to the concept of sacred forest in Kerala.
ചക്കംപറമ്പ് ശ്രീ ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം (ചക്കംപറമ്പ് ക്ഷേത്രം) കേരളത്തിലെ തൃശ്ശൂരിലെ ഏറ്റവും പ്രശസ്തമായ ഹിന്ദു ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിലൊന്നാണ്, വിഞ്ജനദായിനി സഭയുടെ ഭരണത്തിൻ കീഴിലാണ് ക്ഷേത്രം.. ഭദ്രകാളി (ആദിപരാശക്തി) എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ചക്കംപറമ്പ് ശ്രീ ഭഗവതി (ചക്കംപറമ്പ് ദേവി) മഹാകാളി, മഹാലക്ഷ്മി, മഹാ സരസ്വതി എന്നിങ്ങനെ മൂന്ന് രൂപങ്ങളിൽ ഇവിടെ ആരാധിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. അതേ പീഠത്തിൽ മഹാവിഷ്ണുവിന്റെ ഒരു വിഗ്രഹമുണ്ട്, അതിനാൽ ദേവിയെ അമ്മേനാരായണ, ദേവിനാരായണ, ലക്ഷ്മീനാരായണ, ഭദ്രേനാരായണ എന്നും വിളിക്കുന്നു. ലക്ഷ്മിക്കും നാരായണനുമൊപ്പം ഒരേ പീഠത്തിൽ ബ്രഹ്മാവ്, ശിവൻ, ഗണപതി (ഗണപതി), സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യൻ, ശാസ്താവ് എന്നിവരുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളും ഉണ്ട്.
ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രസന്നമായ അന്തരീക്ഷം ഭക്തർക്ക് മാനസിക സമാധാനവും ഐക്യവും നൽകുന്നു. നിരവധി തീർത്ഥാടകരും ദേവിയുടെ ഭക്തരും ഇവിടെ സന്ദർശിക്കുകയും അവരുടെ ദുരിതങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് അവരെ മോചിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനായി ഭക്തിനിർഭരമായ വഴിപാടുകൾ നടത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഭൌതിക ജീവിതത്തിന്റെ അമിതഭാരവും വേദനയും മൂലം ക്ഷേത്രദർശനം അവർക്ക് ആശ്വാസം നൽകുന്നു.
ദേവിക്കുള്ള നിവേദ്യങ്ങളിൽ പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ട ഒന്നാണ് പൊങ്കാല സമർപ്പണം. ദേവീ സന്നിധിയിൽ പൊങ്കാല അർപ്പിക്കുമ്പോൾ കന്യകമാർക്ക് സൗഭാഗ്യവും വധൂവരന്മാർക്ക് സന്താനഭാഗ്യവും, ലഭിക്കുന്നു.
നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകൾ പഴക്കമുള്ള ചക്കാംപറമ്പ് ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം പണികഴിപ്പിച്ചത് ഭക്തനായ മുത്തപ്പനാണെന്നാണ് ഐതിഹ്യം. എന്നിരുന്നാലും, ചക്കംപറമ്പ് ക്ഷേത്രസമുച്ചയത്തിൽ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന നാനാദുർഗ്ഗാ ക്ഷേത്രം ചരിത്രാതീത കാലം മുതൽ നിലനിന്നിരുന്നതായി കരുതപ്പെടുന്നു. പ്രധാന വഴിപാടായി കരുമാലൂർ നിവാസികൾ പതിവായി പന്തീരാഴി ദർശനം നടത്താറുണ്ട്. പണ്ടു മുതലേ ഉഗ്രമായ നന്ദദുർഗ്ഗയുടെ ക്ഷേത്രചടങ്ങുകളിൽ പുരുഷന്മാർ മാത്രമാണ് പങ്കെടുത്തിരുന്നത്. കേരളത്തിലെ പുണ്യവനം എന്ന സങ്കൽപ്പത്തിന്റെ സാക്ഷ്യപത്രം കൂടിയാണ് നമ്മുടെ നാനാദുർഗ്ഗാ ക്ഷേത്രം.
