Temple located at Kodikulam village of Idukki district in Kerala. This temple is one of the main "DURGA" temple in Thodupuzha taluk.Belonging to "KUNNAPPILLIL" Family till 60's and now under NSS.The temple is also the family temple of 'Thannickal family'. The famous rituals are 'Garudantookam', 'Mudiyettu'.
The temple was belonging to Kunnappillil Kaimals having their Tharavadu named "Arackal Bhavanam" till 1974. Thereafter the present premises of temple were handed over to NSS by the said family. It is believed that the presiding diety(Kali with Vishnu sameepyam) was brought by the ancestors of Kunnappillil from kodungalloor, after a long thapas and was initially kept (kudiyiruthy) in the Ara(cellar) of the Kunnappilli bhavanam and thereafter the home was known as Arackal, being the diety occupied the Ara till the construction of temple and prathishta therein.
കേരളത്തിലെ ഇടുക്കി ജില്ലയിലെ കോടികുളം ഗ്രാമത്തിൽ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ക്ഷേത്രം. തൊടുപുഴ താലൂക്കിലെ പ്രധാന "ദുർഗ്ഗ" ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിലൊന്നാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം. 60-കൾ വരെ "കുന്നപ്പിള്ളിൽ" കുടുംബത്തിൽ പെട്ടതും ഇപ്പോൾ എൻ.എസ്.എസിന് കീഴിലുമാണ് ക്ഷേത്രം. 'താന്നിക്കൽ കുടുംബക്കാരുടെ' കുടുംബ ക്ഷേത്രം കൂടിയാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം. 'ഗരുഡൻതൂകം', 'മുടിയേറ്റ്' എന്നിവയാണ് പ്രസിദ്ധമായ ആചാരങ്ങൾ.
1974 വരെ കുന്നപ്പിള്ളിൽ കൈമൾമാരുടെ തറവാടിന്റെ ഉടമസ്ഥതയിലുള്ള ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം "അറക്കൽ ഭവനം" എന്നായിരുന്നു അറിയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നത്. അതിനുശേഷം ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ സ്ഥലം പ്രസ്തുത കുടുംബം എൻഎസ്എസിന് കൈമാറുകയായിരുന്നു .
