About Temple

The leased family consists of five branches namely Nedumpuram, Kochumadham, Valyat, Thayathil and Chidayankadu and from there they are part of the staff and members living in different places.
The eastern part of the kingdom was under the control of the Edappally Swaroop in the kingdom of Kochi. Defendants were sent to collect taxes from Swaroop. The eastern palace built the Ayyappa temple for them to worship, and a palace on the south side for living, and Oottupura on the north side.
Kochushankaran Mammon, Padmanabhan Mammon and Krishnan Mammon are known for the first time in previous generations. It was during the reign of Padmanabhan Mammon, the head of the family, that the then Maharaja of Travancore, Marthanda Varma, acquired a portion of the land from his lord.
On the instructions of the Maharaja, the temple was renovated to its present shape for the benefit of the people. In addition, His Majesty granted the family the title of 'Lord', which can only be given to governors.
Temple located at Vempally road Kadakkarappally village near Cherthala of Alappuzha in Kerala. Yakshiamma worshipped here.
Yakshiyambalam is a small shrine located on the north - east corner of the Nedumpuram family, which is considered to be the first branch of the Pattam family. In addition to the Yakshiyamma, there are serpent statues on both sides.
This Yakshi deity is about the size of a person and is rarely seen. On the five floors are the Shiva demons, on top of which is the form of Yakshi, the goddess Yogamaya, and above it is the image of Lord Shiva as the Lord of the Universe with deer, ax and boons, and on the top is the image of Nagaraja and Nagayakshi.
Every Sankranti has offerings and poojas. The offerings are milk pudding, white nedya and koottupayasam. Oil anointing, milk anointing, turmeric anointing and garland anointing are performed on the days of Pooja. The anointing oil is believed to be good for the scalp and jaundice. There is also a sprinkling of 100 milk for the ayil in the month of Tula and the tenth in the month of May. In addition to the regular offerings for these poojas, there is also bread.
