About Temple

Parayarukala Devi Temple is located at a distance of about 6 km from Chengannur on the Chengannur-Pandalam route. On the road, it is 500 meters from Pallipadi junction.

Parayarukala Devi Temple is a famous temple located near Chengannur in Central Travancore. In the month of October 1914 (Kanni 1090) Sree Narayana Guru visited the Temple. At the beginning of the 20th century, the existing temple caught fire and the temple was rebuilt and handed over to the locals by the family. The temple was rebuilt and re-dedicated in 1998. The main festival of the temple is the Meenabharani Mahotsava. The main festivals associated with the festival are Revathivilakku, Pongala, Kettukazhcha, Vedikettu and Arattu.

പറയരുകാല ദേവി ക്ഷേത്രം

ചെങ്ങന്നൂർ-പന്തളം റൂട്ടിൽ ചെങ്ങന്നൂരിൽ നിന്ന് ഏകദേശം 6 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെയാണ് പറയരുകാല ദേവീക്ഷേത്രം.
മധ്യതിരുവിതാംകൂറിലെ ചെങ്ങന്നൂരിനടുത്ത് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന പ്രസിദ്ധമായ ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് പറയരുകാല ദേവീക്ഷേത്രം. 1914 ഒക്ടോബറിൽ (കന്നി 1090) ശ്രീനാരായണ ഗുരു ക്ഷേത്രം സന്ദർശിച്ചു. ഇരുപതാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിന്റെ തുടക്കത്തിൽ നിലവിലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന് തീപിടിക്കുകയും ക്ഷേത്രം പുനർനിർമിക്കുകയും കുടുംബം നാട്ടുകാർക്ക് കൈമാറുകയും ചെയ്തു. 1998-ൽ ക്ഷേത്രം പുനർനിർമിക്കുകയും പുനഃപ്രതിഷ്ഠ നടത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു. മീനഭരണി മഹോത്സവമാണ് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന ഉത്സവം. രേവതിവിളക്ക്, പൊങ്കാല, കെട്ടുകാഴ്ച, വെടിക്കെട്ട്, ആറാട്ട് എന്നിവയാണ് ഉത്സവത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ചുള്ള പ്രധാന ആഘോഷങ്ങൾ.
