Kaithottukonam Sri Mahadeva temple is situated at Balaramapuram Town in a small village of Kaithottukonam. Which is away from half hour drive from Thiruvananthapuram Central. Lord Shiva and Parvathy are blessing their devotees in the form of " Kirathamoorthy". Lord Ganesha, Bhadrakali, Durga, Ayyappa, Serpents, Mandramoorthy, Yakshiamma, Yogeeswaran are installed here as subordinate deities.
Special poojas held here are :
* On every Dhanur Thiruvathira, 'Umamaheswara pooja' will be conducted. Lord Shiva and Parvathy remove the obstacles and bless their devotees with happy and prosperous married life.
* On every Mahashivaratri, special 'Kalasa pooja' will be conducted for the well-being, peace, and prosperity for everyone.
* It is believed that the 'Mahamruthunjaya homa' will improve longitivity and cure ailments. This homa is performed in our temple.
* In the holy texts and scriptures, it is mentioned that one's wishes will be fulfilled with the grace of God when they performe 'Chindamani Pooja'. This auspicious pooja will be performed by 'Thantri'.
* On every Monday, 'Special Abhisheka' will be conducted in our temple.

* 'മഹാമൃതുഞ്ജയ ഹോമം' ദീർഘായുസ്സ് മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്തുമെന്നും അസുഖങ്ങൾ സുഖപ്പെടുത്തുമെന്നും വിശ്വസിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. നമ്മുടെ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലാണ് ഈ ഹോമം നടത്തുന്നത്.
* ചിന്ദാമണി പൂജ നടത്തുമ്പോൾ ദൈവാനുഗ്രഹത്താൽ ആഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ സഫലമാകുമെന്ന് വിശുദ്ധ ഗ്രന്ഥങ്ങളിലും ഗ്രന്ഥങ്ങളിലും പരാമർശിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. തന്ത്രിയുടെ കാർമികത്വത്തിൽ ഈ ഐശ്വര്യ പൂജ നടക്കും.
* എല്ലാ തിങ്കളാഴ്ചകളിലും നമ്മുടെ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ പ്രത്യേക അഭിഷേകം നടത്തും.
