The temple is located at Eruthavur on Kattakada Road, Balaramapuram, 14 KM south of Thiruvananthapuram in Thiruvananthapuram district. There is a complete idol of Subramanyaswamy in the form of a child. The temple was registered as a trustee under registration number 69/1991 / IV in 1991 and is still functioning under the trust. This is one of the important Subramanya temples in Kerala. The temple is also known as Kerala Palani as it is located on the Eruthavur Hill at an elevation of about 200 feet above sea level. There are two ways to reach the temple from the east and the west, many of which are similar to Palani. Thousands of devotees from all over Kerala and Tamil Nadu flock here to seek refuge from Balasubramanian, who reigns supreme in Eruthavur. Many devotees come here every day to perform various vows and shave their heads. In addition, many devotees come here to seek redressal of grievances, cure ailments, seek relief from family grievances and other home remedies. Every month on the day of Shashti, a large number of devotees flock here. Apart from this, special poojas and offerings are performed here on Fridays, the first day of the Malayalam month and other important days and on Skandashashti days. Annadhanam is done here as a special offering. Devotees make vows here on Fridays, Sundays, Sashti, Skandashti and other important festivals. This temple is one of the important temples in the district of Thiruvananthapuram The festival lasts for 10 days on the Thaipuya day of the month of Makara. The festival is celebrated with great reverence by adorning the temple and the village with electric lanterns and flag hoists. Apart from this, special poojas such as Thaipuyakavadi, Pallivetta, Thiruvarat and Ezhunnallam are also performed here. Visitation is allowed here every day from 5.30 am to 11.30 am and from 5 pm to 7.30 pm. Special screenings are allowed on Fridays and Fridays until 1.30pm. Shaving can be done every day from 7.30 to 10.30. Full moon pooja is performed for Goddess Parvati every evening, Navagraha pooja is performed every day at 9 am and special Ayilya pooja is performed on Ayilyam day.
