About Temple

Kottarakkara Muzhikotte is a rare shrine located on the top of a hill. Once here, you can visit Devadarshan and enjoy the beauty of nature in the cool breeze. Sri Bhutanathaswamy Temple is located at an elevation of 3000 ft above sea level. In the sanctum sanctorum, Sastha and the adjoining Shiva Parvati bless the devotees. It is also a haunt of peacocks. This is very beautiful place.
The dawns and sunsets are more beautiful than the views of the sea.
The connection of the temple with the area is summoned. Now there are many devotees coming from all over the country with the same call.
This place was covered with jungle and since ancient times people used to worship a stone idol. Although the worship was disrupted over time, due to the unrest in the area, the locals came together to clear the forest roads and worship the Umamaheswarans by lighting lanterns.
Later, the Sreebhootanathaswamy Trust was formed and the Umamaheswara Temple and Sreebhootanathaswamy Temple were built on the hill. There are 329 steps to get here. These steps to the top of the hill are supported by beams made of concrete. This is a very beautiful view from below. The temple and the area, which are situated like a gift of nature, will be one of the greatest places of worship in the future.

The bell offering is one of the most important offerings made in the temple since ancient times. Devotees come to Thirunada and offer bells to Nandikeswamy. The bell is offered at the temple for the purpose.
Devotees seek refuge in the presence of God in order to fulfill the desires of the mind, or those which are not fulfilled due to obstacles. Came to the temple
Thousands of devotees who came to see Umamaheswara and prayed in the fold know that their wishes have come true.
Many devotees are called upon to express their gratitude for the fulfillment of their desires. The ever-increasing bells on the young horn symbolize the love and faith of the devotees who flock to the temple believing in Umamaheswara.
Bell vows can also be performed at the temple every day.
